Things hit all at once
I’ve been MIA not just from Substack, but online. We had many things hit all at once recently-some annoying, some frustrating, some set backs and a nice family trip as well.
When things get wild or overwhelming, it’s so easy to cry, scream, bitch and moan or be generally full of anxiety and stress. This year I’m finally aware of my reactions,( and actions) and making a conscious effort to do something a little new to me: I am allowing myself the cry and the stress and the complaining BUT only for a little while. Get it out and move on sort of thing.
It does help.
Then I can go forward and focus on what I CAN control. Because focusing on all we can’t control sure is a losing battle isn’t it?
So whatever your summer is bringing you, take the time to feel it, to sort through all the emotions and then step in the better, brighter direction.
Stay positive friends! ( and get out in nature for some serious stress relief)
