A few ideas today that we can all strive for this weekend. or anytime.

I read every day since childhood but I know some people say they “don’t have the time” but we all know the saying “ Make the time”

PLAY
This could mean dance, play a sport, play with a child or garden. Anything that moves your body, and makes you feel light and in the moment.
SIT
Take some time to meditate. or at least some offline time in silence or gentle meditative music. Use meditation apps like Calm or Breethe or youtube
MOVE
Daily walks are one of the best habits to get into. Walk 20 minutes or more, especially outside if you can.
CARE
Treat your skin and body with care. I’ve been in the clean natural beauty business for many many years. It’s an important part of life- to thoughtfully apply products that don’t cause harm and that use safe botanical ingredients. Try Lemongrass Spa, Farmhouse Fresh or Beauty by Earth.
WRITE
Journaling or just writing small lists is very helpful. Writing things we are grateful for shifts our perspective. I know when I had 3 teens and some challenging years, I had to turn to my notebooks to release my feelings and remember all I am grateful for.
YOGA
Yoga , to me, encompasses mind, body and spirit the best. It is all three wrapped into a healing, feeling, moving session. I’ve been practicing 25 years. If you don’t already, try Yoga with Adriene on youtube. There’s a video for everything and once you start, you reap so many benefits.
BREATHE
A few moments of deep belly breathing calms the body and restores the mind. Try a few minutes in the morning, and again before bed ( and any time you feel wound up too tight)
CREATE
Follow a passion of creating something- could be painting, building, growing something, writing , all forms or art, crochet, knit, play music, you name it. This is the time that feeds our spirits.
EAT
Slow down and eat delicious healthy meals mindfully as often as you can.
LOVE
Express love in small ways and big ways. Sometimes , I think, we forget to tell people just how special they are and how much we care. But we can make their day with a reminder and we can grow that love and gratitude by showing it and sharing it.
SUPPORT
Support your body by taking herbs and adaptogens. ( check with your medical professional of course) There’s so much good info about these on trusted sites. Do your research. Mother Nature creates many plants and remedies to keep our bodies in homeostasis and support our health. I like these brands:
